Blockcerts is an open standard for creating, issuing, viewing, and verifying blockchain-based digital records. These records are registered on the blockchain, cryptographically signed, tamper-proof, and shareable. The goal is to provide individuals the capacity to possess and share their own official records of achievement. You can read more about the project goals here.
This community is aligned with (and contributing to) the following standards:
- Open Badges
- W3C Verifiable Claims
- W3C Linked Data Signatures
- W3C / Rebooting Web of Trust Decentralized Identifiers
Blockcerts strives to provide a common standard for writing to any blockchain. We invite feedback, contributions, and general discussion. This open forum is for anyone who wants to learn more about the standard, provide feedback, ask questions, and participate in guiding future direction. Topics may be technical, theoretical, or related to implementing Blockcerts across a variety of market sectors.
If you are already using Blockcerts, please share background on your project or business here.
