It seems that the certification is currently pegged to a handful of existing blockchains with their preferred coins that have wild price fluctuations.
Is there any discussion or suggestion to build a new blockchain (altchain) dedicated to academia? Given the history of the Internet and the role that universities played in it, I would have thought that universities would have been active in the creation of an academic blockchain standard.
