I just found blockcerts and want to try it, but I’ve been having a lot of problems.
I can get cert-tools to work, but I haven’t been able to get the cert-issuer to run.
I am finding bug after bug.
Can someone help me with a workflow please?

Cert tools is not necessarily up to date and I wouldn’t recommend using it.
As for cert issuer, on which platform are you using it and what python version are you running it with?
You can find example documents in the cert-verifier-js or cert-issuer repos, in the test/fixtures folders. Those would be better starting points to understand the standard.
