# Research being conducted on behalf of the European Commission Joint Research Centre

We are currently developing a study on the potential of the Blockchain in education. The research has been commissioned by the Commission’s [Joint Research Centre](https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en) in Seville. We are looking at both US and EU initiatives and including case studies where possible. Examples of live or planned applications on Blockcerts are of particular interest.
