# How to get issuer\_public\_key to put in conf.in in cert\_tools

Hi  
I am fairly new to blockcerts and trying to replicate it.  
I am using cert\_tools to create a custom certificate.

I have few doubts doubts -

1. How can I get the issuer\_public\_key to mention in conf.ini in the cert\_tools repo?

2. I created block id using [Free Online GUID Generator](https://www.guidgenerator.com/online-guid-generator.aspx)  
Is it correct?

3. Just after creating the cert\_tools how can we view the certificate?

I will the use this certificate in cert-issuer to move forward.
