# How to create smart contracts and tokens without using cryptocurrency?

HI I am new to the concept of Blockchain. I want to create tokens.I have read that tokens are created using smart contracts and smart contracts are creted by using cryptocurrency. I want to avoid the use of cryptocurrencies as they are not globally accepted(banned in some countries).Is there any way to create tokens without using cryptocurrency?

Yes, yo can run your own blockchain(private)  
you can use ethereum blockchain as well, the fact that you create a token it does not mean that has any value.
